ZalaZONE is an ecosystem where industry, R&D, innovation and education meet. Several research institutes and universities (such as Széchenyi István University Zalaegerszeg Innovation Park) are active in the area, contributing to the competitiveness of the region. Széchenyi István University Zalaegerszeg Innovation Park
The automotive industry and its related professional segments - telecommunications, logistics, energy - are priority strategic focus areas of Széchenyi István University. The University's campus at Zalaegerszeg is located in the immediate neighbourhood of the Proving Ground, as part of the ZalaZONE ecosystem. The campus is home to the SZE Zalaegerszeg Innovation Park, which provides space for education and research activities in the automotive and related focus areas.
Main activities
The park provides an exceptional opportunity for automotive research and development, for students, researchers and start-up companies. The university is represented in the dynamically developing industrial park with a fully equipped radar sensor calibration laboratory, chassis dyno, an incubation building, accommodation and an lecturer hall. The university's RDI track module and the entire ZalaZONE test infrastructure are directly accessible from the centre.
It provides a unique RDI environment for research in areas as diverse as artificial intelligence, drone technology, autonomous vehicles. In addition to internship programmes, the complex is also home to dual students, industrial projects and start-up companies. Postgraduate and micro-certificate courses, as well as training modules at various academic levels, will be taught in line with the research areas.
Lecture Hall
The Lecture Hall, located in the Innovation Park of Széchenyi István University in Zalaegerszeg, is an ideal venue for various events, be it conferences, workshops or trainings. The building has a flexible capacity of 100 people, the auditorium can be pulled out and folded up as required, so it can be adapted to different sizes of events, whether for smaller, closed meetings or for larger events. Events can be held in a clean, modern environment, in an atmosphere of innovation and creativity.
